One of the less-talked-about benefits of metacurrencies (fate points, hero points, etc) is that it allows me, as a GM, a quick, easy, and direct way of compensating players whenever I make a mistake. #ttrpg

According to my itch, Friday has ended, and the time has come the send thanks to whoever grabbed copies of a time travelers' handbook (abridged)!

Thank you!

I hope it makes any sense to you! The txt and epub versions are okay, of course, but the pdf version is where it's at! I'm tellin ya, no foolin!

The game is fairly simple and streamlined, currently the PDF is less than 80 pages. It is inspired by the first ever #TTRPG to use a dice pool mechanic (which would inspired a multitude of games throughout the years).

I've put in a couple of years of work in writing and developing this game, and I am very proud of it! Please check it out, and share it you can.

11/11 Seeing these scales can help us see what we love (or struggle with) in games and inspire new design choices.

Where do your faves land on these scales? Do they balance them in ways that surprise or inspire you? Let’s talk about how we approach this!

Hey, folks... I've got another #FediGiveaway for you. And it's a quick one.

I have sitting next to me hardback copies of the following #TTRPG books:

* Serenity: The Roleplaying Game
* Buffy the Vampire Slayer core book (two copies)
* Buffy the Vampire Slayer Magic Box splatbook
* Buffy the Vampire Slayer Monster Smackdown splatbook
* Buffy the Vampire Slayer Slayer's Handbook splatbook
* Buffy the Vampire Slayer Director's Screen

We really want them to get into the hands of fans of #Buffy and/or #Firefly. So, in seven days' time (20 December 2024) I'll do another 1d1000 drawing (I'll roll 3d10 (001 to 000 (000 counts as 1000))).

Reply with your guess. Whoever's guess is closest to what I roll without going over gets the whole shebang.

Because it's the holidays I'm afraid that I'll have to limit this to North America only.

Please boost?

@HeyeBodo Jungle/Land of the Lost: Gods are just powerful monsters. There's savage cults but they're all of the Conan type, priest-wizards worshipping a "god" who needs humanoid sacrifices.

Dark fantasy: There was a Universal Church, but it's all but defunct. A few people use it as a political thing more than religion. There's no actual gods or religious magic, just Demons, etc.

Old campaign had gods dying out but reachable, but I like worlds better with none active.

New Subclass Guide for the 2024 Draconic Sorcery Sorcerer

The 2014 Draconic Sorcerer was always accessible, but never exciting or impressive. The 2024 version is considerably more exciting. It got several quality of life improvements to make its features work better, and it added a list of subclass spells to bring it in line with the Tasha's-era subclasses. It's pretty good now.
